GENERAL INFORMATION
GENERAL BEHAVIOR - We at Mountain Music and Jam Festival are striving to make this event and all that follows, to be a respected festival. Please help us start a good tradition. The following general information, procedures and regulations have been devised for your own safety and protection. Strict enforcement of all laws and regulations will be necessary to ensure that everyone enjoys their experience while at the Mountain Music and Jam Festival.
CAR PARKING - No reserve parking and there will be parking at the site with alternative areas to be decided.
SEATING - Mountain Music and Jam Festival features primarily festival style seating with ample room for your lawn chair or blanket. For everyone's safety, those who designate their seating area should use only lawn blankets. The maximum permissible size for any individual blanket is 8'x10'. Caution tape and other similar materials may not be used to designate your seating area. Wooden and metal stakes within the general seating area are prohibited. Shade umbrellas, canopies or any obstruction limiting the views of spectators will not be permitted within the general seating area. A designated canopy section within the concert area is provided for your comfort. Flags and banners also may be displayed in this section. Event Management reserves the right to ask spectators to remove any items that obstruct viewing or that may be objectionable. Please respect the views of those seated behind you. Coolers in this section must fit under your seat. Unlike most events, Mountain Music and Jam Festival allows you to bring in your own food and beverages, however kegs are not permitted. Malt-based beverages are permitted, as long as the alcohol content is 6% or less. The maximum permissible cooler size is 48" long by 30" wide by 24" deep.
EXIT GATES - Anyone wishing to leave the concert area may do so at any time. Please note that you must have a valid wristband to re-enter. State law prohibits anyone from leaving the grounds with opened alcohol containers. Please discard them in the trash cans before leaving the venue.
FOR SAFETY'S SAKE - Absolutely no glass containers, funnels or "beer bongs", metal flag poles, knives, firearms, fireworks, cooking grills, or motorized vehicles, motorized carts or motorized dollies are permitted, as well as other items at management's discretion. Non-pressurized spray bottles and squirt guns with finger pump type action are the only water devices permitted. Please use only water in these devices and do not spray anyone without their consent. DO NOT SPRAY IN THE DIRECTION OF THE STAGE OR TOWARDS ANY OF THE GROUPS OR THEIR EQUIPMENT. Any items confiscated will not be returned.
SECURITY - Security personnel are on duty around the clock throughout the grounds for the entire weekend. Your full cooperation with them will be greatly appreciated. Please report any incident requiring attention to either a uniformed Deputy Sheriff or to Event Staff personnel. The Mountain Music and Jam Festival prohibits both moshing and crowd-surfing
at THIS EVENT. No items/articles are to be thrown throughout the crowd or
near the stage AT ANY TIME. Anyone caught engaged in any of these
activities is subject to ejection from the venue.
PHOTOS - A photo aisle has been provided directly in front of the stage for your photo-taking convenience. Only those with cameras will be permitted to enter this aisle. Video cameras and audio tape recorders are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated. Any tape confiscated will not be returned to the owner or operator.
FIRST AID -Completely equipped ambulances and a Medical Facility Tent are located near Gate #1 in the concert area. Please make note of its location when you arrive. The Medical Facility Tent is staffed and equipped to handle minor injuries, accidents and other emergencies. There is no fee for emergency medical services received on site. In the event of a problem, look for the Blue-Shirted Medical Staff for assistance. Over the counter medicines will not be provided at the Medical Facility. Such items as aspirin, sun-screen, etc. may be purchased at any of the general stores.
WEATHER - The weather is usually sunny, with temperatures in the high 80's. It is advisable to use sunscreen lotion and to drink plenty of water and other non-alcoholic beverages. Be prepared for sudden summer rains. The show will go on if at all possible! If the conditions deteriorate to the point that the public's safety is at risk, the show may be delayed or canceled for that day. Please listen to the directions given by announcers and security during such times.
HANDICAPPED - Mountain Music and Jam Festival makes every attempt to be HC accessible. Limited HC parking is available for those vehicles displaying the HC emblem on their license plates. HC port-a-jons are located at each of the port-a-jon areas. Due to the event being festival style seating, reserved HC seating is not available, except for reserved ticket holders. However, there is generally plenty of viewing area in the grass along the gravel paths and asphalt walks.
PETS - Pets are NOT PERMITTED on the grounds. Anyone found to be in possession of a pet on-site will be evicted.
PORT-A-JONS / TRASH - Port-a-jons have been conveniently placed throughout the concert arena. Please help keep the concert area litter free - put your trash in the provided trash receptacles.
LAWS - All local, state and federal laws are to be obeyed. Patrons under the age of 21 are not permitted to consume any alcoholic beverage while on the grounds. Providing a minor with alcohol is also illegal. Use of illegal drugs, drunken and/or obnoxious activities and other forms of misbehavior will not be tolerated. All persons attending the Mountain Music and Jam Festival do so at their own risk. No liability is assumed by owners, managers, promoters, groups, sponsors, or others. Please do not trespass, litter or block our neighbor's driveways. Selling of any unauthorized merchandise or services is prohibited while on the grounds. Anyone caught engaged in any such activity will be prosecuted. Anyone found to be in violation of any law or regulation may be subject to prosecution and will be evicted from the event without refund of ticket.
NECESSITIES - Mountain Music and Jam Festival is an outdoor rain or shine event, therefore, you will have Mother Nature to contend with. Here is a brief listing of some things you might consider bringing along to make the event more comfortable & pleasurable for you:
**Cooler with drinks & snacks (no glass containers please, we do check at the gates)
**Blanket or tarp for ground cover
**Lawn chair / chaise lounge
**Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat (for the hot & sunny days)
**Rain gear, warm / dry clothes (for the cool evenings or rainy days)>**Spray bottle (to cool down with and/or self defense against outlaw squirters)
**Shade canopy (we permit these in the rear of the theater area)
**Comfortable shoes (Mountain Music and Jam Festival is a big place, you'll do a lot of a lot of walking )
**Moist towelettes (for your trips to the portable toilets)
**Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc. (When the sun or the partying gets to ya' )
If you like to travel light, we do have food & drink concessions on site. We have tents where you can buy official Mountain Music and Jam Festival souvenir items, as well as Artist souvenir items. |
